In 2019, ZBS began providing POS Systems which allowed restaurant owners to remotely access their POS from anywhere, any place. This function primarily benefited owners of chain restaurants who needed to be able to manage multiple locations without having to physically be there. Owners were also able to generate sales reports, manage employees, and even run payroll all from their personal laptop, tablet, and/or mobile device. Even small business owners were able to take advantage of easy remote accessibility to their business’s POS systems without having to go to a physical POS terminal within a restaurant to make changes to their menu, prices, items, etc.

When the Covid-19 pandemic struck the United States hard in early 2020, restaurant owners and workers were dealt with a heavy hand. The lockdown that followed devastated the US economy affecting businesses from every industry. This led to the closure of even the most renowned restaurant establishments while others struggled to stay open with shorthand staff.

However, many ZBS POS consumers were able to alleviate some of the stress by taking advantage of remote access to their POS Systems during the quarantine. With a shift in emphasis on contactless service and remote working, we further developed a seamlessly integrated online ordering platform and remote management tools to support businesses during the pandemic. Restaurant owners were able to take orders and manage staff remotely, allowing them to carry on with business from the safety of their homes. As a result, many businesses were able to adapt and thrive despite the trying circumstances. Although the end of the Coronavirus Pandemic is on the horizon, the benefits of remote access to POS Systems will remain and continue to innovate the restaurant and food industry towards a more technologically forward future.

The restaurant industry is highly competitive, and standing out requires more than just delicious food and great service. If customers can’t find you online, they’ll never get the chance to experience what you offer.

It sets the tone for their entire dining experience and shapes their expectations of your service. Naturally, every restaurant wants to leave a lasting positive impression. But how? By equipping your team with the right tools to deliver exceptional customer service from the very start.
